Lina Tharsing is a Lexington, Kentuky based artist who’s small-scale paintings of natural history museum dioramas reflect perfectly the collecting and display impulses characterized in the Wunderkammer exhibition concurrently on view at Conduit. With economical brush strokes and a quiet palette, Tharshing is able to convey the odd reality of natural history dioramas and the museum spaces that house them.
Lina Tharshing earned a B.F.A. from the University of Kentuckyand has shown widely in theLexington area. This will be her first exhibition inTexas.
