Fort Worth based painter, Kirk Hayes will show a much anticipated series of trompe-l'oeil paintings that appear to be slap-dash collage on a wood-grain surface, though each is a painstakingly meticulous painting, the subjects of which explore the beauty and sorrow of human experience.
Kirk Hayes is a self-taught artist who has exhibited with Conduit Gallery since 1997. Since 2003 his paintings have been added to the museum collections of: The Dallas Museum of Art, Dallas,TX; The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, Fort Worth,TX and the Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art, Overland Park, KS.
