Tami Demaree, Dani Tull, Steven Hull
In Sterling Rainbow three California artists, Demaree, Tull and Hull, recall the late 1960's, the blooming of the flower children, hippie culture, easy drugs and the transition into psychedelic hard rock of the early 70s. The works, which include paintings, drawings, sculpture and collage, take as their starting point the Black Sabbath song Lord of this World.
Tami Demaree received her MFA from Otis College of Art and Design. Most recently her work was exhibited at Angstrom Gallery in Los Angeles and Steve Wolf Gallery San Francisco.
Dani Tull received his MFA at Stanford University in 1990. He has most recently exhibited at Galerie Haus Schneider Uschi Kolb, Karlsruhe, Germany, Angstrom Gallery in Los Angeles and in the 2007 LA Weekly Annual Biennial at Track 16 Gallery, Santa Monica, CA.
Steven Hull received his MFA California Institute of Arts, Valencia. He is represented by Rosamund Felsen Gallery, Santa Monica, CA and has exhibited widely including: Angstrom Gallery, Los Angeles and Lisa Boyle Gallery, Chicago. Hull's production includes painting, drawing, animation, sculpture and writing. In 2007, he published "Nothing Moments" a project involving 100 participants that resulted in 24 books each illustrated, written and designed by different participants. The resulting exhibition traveled to Los Angles, San Francisco, Dallas, New York, Portland, Miami and Chicago.
